Miss Anna Britta Kane
, 76, of Kearny departed suddenly on Saturday April 25, 2009.

Anna was born in Westfield, NJ and lived in Jersey City before moving to Kearny as a young adult. She holds education degrees from both Columbia University and Seton Hall University. Miss Kane was a school teacher for the Paterson Board of Education. After retiring she continued working as a licensed real estate agent for Van Winkle & Co. in Rutherford, NJ.

Anna was a member of the Rosary Society, co-chair of the Encouraging Words Ministry, chair of the Social Concerns Committee, chair of the MICA-MEALS Committee, and chair of the AIDS Quilt Committee, all of St. Stephen’s Church. She was also a member of Birth Rite.

She is survived by her loving sister Susan Reynolds of Washington, NJ and two wonderful brothers; Michael Kane (Peggy) of Rutherford and John Kane (Judy) of Glen Gardner. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rita Kane of Flemington, NJ and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
