POSTHUMUS, Ann Louise of Portage, Michigan passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Ann was born March 7, 1923, a daughter of the late Nanno E. and Dorothy Jacobs Hazelhoff and was a lifelong resident of the Portage area. Ann worked for several retail stores, including Lee’s Sporting Goods, her last place of employment.
On April 12, 1946, she married Thomas Posthumus, who preceded her in death on August 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, John “Bud”LoisHazelhoff and a brother-in-law, Harry Nelson. Ann is survived by her children, Joann Paul Heitz of Freeport, IL, Barb Bruce Ettwein of Portage, Jackie Duane Corstange of Aurora, CO, Roger Posthumus & Julie Champayne of Muskegon and Julie Vern Fox of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Zack & Lindsay Heitz, Zain & Katie Heitz, Brian & Erin Ettwein, Jenny & Jack Smith, Tracy & Al Fricke, Steve & Tracy Corstange, Kris & Bob Taylor, Eric Posthumus, Scott Posthumus, Ryan Posthumus, Michael & Jen Stephens, Joshua & Lisa Jepkema, Andy & Stacey Fox and Joe & Tressa Potts; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Jim Ward of White Cloud, MI and Helen Nelson of Portage; a special friend, Annie Dornbush; several nieces and nephews.
