Ann Elizabeth Welder (nee Williamson) passed away this Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Boerne, Texas.
She was born on December 19th, 1958 in Liberty, Texas and graduated from Liberty High School in 1976. She then attended Texas A&M University, where she met her future husband, James Patrick Welder. They were married on December 30th, 1978 in Liberty, Texas. They later moved to San Antonio and finally settled in Boerne in 1987. Their daughter was born on December 2, 1988. After her daughter began school in Boerne, she volunteered at the elementary school library and, later, at the local public library, where she eventually came to work for over ten years.
Ann was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Houston Astros, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas A&M Aggies. She loved Snoopy cartoons, and was a voracious reader, and filled her life and the lives of her family with her love of books and reading. She was known for her honesty, vibrant personality, and boisterous laugh.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, James Corbin Williamson, and her mother, Martha Jane Buchanan Bitner.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, James Patrick Welder, her daughter, Elisa Ann Welder, her brother James Matthew Williamson and wife Lauri, and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and friends.
