Ann Coats Patterson, 57, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, November 29, 2014, at her residence.
She was born August 1, 1957 in Jacksonville, the daughter of George Edward “Shorty” Coats and Margaret Maxine Myers Coats Newingham. She married Douglas Patterson on November 22, 1976 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2010.
She is survived by a daughter, Stacy Lynn Albers (Jim) of Bluffs; two sons, Aaron Lee Patterson (Regina) of Jacksonville and Darin Ray Patterson (Tasha Large) of Frederick; a nephew who was raised in the home, Ryan Coats; seven grandchildren, Michael, Kira, Kylee, Matthew, K’Lynn, Kalea, and Kenzie; three step grandsons, Tommy, Tucker, and Tegan; a brother, George Coats Jr. of Jacksonville; a sister, Penny Barajas of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and two sisters, Mary Bell Coats and Connie Lee Coats.
Ann was employed at Heritage Health (formerly Barton W. Stone Home) for the last 15 years. She enjoyed caring for the residents and their families. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and reading.
