Ann C. Rogers, 96, of Jacksonville, died June 26, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 6, 1915, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Thomas J. and Theresa L. Magner Flynn. She married Loren E. Rogers on Nov. 16, 1936, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1981.
She is survived by one son and four daughters, Loren J. Rogers (Linda) of Murrayville, Theresa Pate of Jacksonville, Mary (Paul) Davis of Springfield, and Margaret (Ronald) Brant and Cheri (Bob) Davis, both of Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister, Thomas (Donna) Flynn of Jerseyville, Eleanor (Charles) Cox of Decatur and Leo Flynn of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Cathryn McGuire Flynn; a son, Thomas Edward Rogers; five brothers, Paul Flynn (surviving wife Mildred of E. Peoria), Edmond Flynn, Don Flynn, Alfred Flynn and Martin Flynn; and two sisters, Agnes Flynn (surviving husband Jerry of Lake St. Louis, MO) and Rosemary Ferry.
Mrs. Rogers was a 1936 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield. She retired from the Jacksonville Developmental Center, and was a member of Church of Our Saviour. Ann was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America and AFSCME.
