Anita Ronde (nee Sienkewicz), age 86, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Monday July 4, 2011 at Paul Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, NJ surrounded by her family. Anita was born March 4, 1925 in Somerville, NJ. Anita was a long term resident of Manahawkin, NJ before Anita and her late husband James retired to Bradenton, Fl for a number of years before she returned to New Jersey.
Anita was a graduate of the Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Orange, NJ. She enjoyed a fulfilling and rewarding career as a registered nurse at Somerset County Hospital and Community Medical Center, Toms River and as a private duty nurse. Anita worked primarily on the maternity unit. She was active in hurricane relief work in Florida and volunteered with the Red Cross, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Anita was passionate about music, loved to dance and played the harmonica.
To those that knew her, Anita was always known for her beautiful smile that would light up any room. Anita is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years the late James V. Ronde, a son the late James V. Ronde, Jr. and a sister the late Irene Sienkewicz.
She is survived by two daughters Patricia Boryscwicz of Lakewood and Debra J. Saunders and her husband John Cooney of Island Heights and a son William A Ronde of Philadelphia, Pa… Anita is also survived by a grandson Neil Saunders and his wife Elizabeth of Tuckerton, NJ and a great granddaughter Annie Saunders also of Tuckerton.
