Anita Orecchio, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Charlie Lucille Babb. After high school, she obtained her R.N. degree from the Louis Obici School of Nursing. Mrs. Orecchio was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church.
She was very active in her retirement community, enjoyed visiting with her friends and the luncheons with her neighborhood group. She had many lovely friends and appreciated their kindness during her illness. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all kinds of literature. Mrs. Orecchio had an extended family of cousins with whom she was close to, Muguette and Yvonne of New Jersey, Jody and Simone of New York, Renee of Delaware, Eric of Florida and Steven of New Jersey.
Their kindness during her illness was greatly appreciated. She was preceded by her husband of 49 years, John Orecchio. Survivors include a daughter Constance and son in law Michael of NY, two grandsons Michael and Matthew of NY, and seven great grandchildren Noah, Nathaniel, Lili, Khloe, Alex, Heaven and Serenity, all of NY.
