Once again Heaven is made a little brighter! God called one of His daughters home to rest; Anita Mudd, age 93 of Midland passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2015. The daughter of the late Earl and Esther (Moore) Wale was born on June 29, 1921 in Midland County where she was raised and educated. On June 1, 1941 she married Carl R. Mudd in Midland and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1990.
Anita was a very warm and giving woman, always thinking of the other person. In the words of her grandson, “She is the most beautiful person you will ever meet!” Family meant everything to Anita, she loved all of her own and some “special” kids and grandkids too.
She was a member of Studley Grange #1174, Homer United Methodist Church and the Ladies Circle.
Anita is survived by her sons Mitchell Mudd, Kelly Joe (Janet) Mudd; daughter Peggi (Scott) Woodby all of Midland; grandsons, Joshua (Amy) Mudd, Nathan (Stephanie) Mudd, Karson Mudd, Korey Mudd, Ian Woodby; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Sylas and Liam Mudd. She is also survived by her brothers J. B. Wale of Merrill, L.D. Wale of Merrill, Larry Wale of Clio; sisters Bea Emery of Merrill, Dessie Fall of Midland, Lilly James of Wheeler and Karen Wallen of Weidman; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Anita was predeceased by her sister Norma Wale.
