Anita M. Whiddon, age 69 years, of Plymouth, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was the loving wife of Ronald Whiddon, and the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Ramos) Fonseca. Born and raised in Boston, she was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She formerly worked at Independence Direct in Pembroke, but her greatest accomplishments were being a wonderful wife and partner to her “Ronnie”, a loving mother to her sons, and an incredible grandmother to her 7 grandchildren. She was the backbone of her family. Anita touched so many lives with her heart of gold, whether it was family, friends or strangers. She was a loyal and honest lady to all who knew her. She and Ronald spent many cherished moments with one of her passions, dancing. She also loved to sew, decorate her home, garden, and cook for her family.Besides her devoted husband Ronald, she will be sadly missed by her three sons, Thomas Whiddon and his wife Amy of Sandwich, Aaron Whiddon and his wife Jamie of Plymouth, and Adam Whiddon and his wife Melissa of West Wareham, and her greatest joys, her grandchildren Ashleigh, Alyssa, Austin, Jessie, Stella, Cameron and Autumn Whiddon. She was the sister of Ricardo Fonseca of Pawtucket, RI, and the late Sonny, Joey, Raymond and Melanie Fonseca. She also leaves her dear cousin Marilyn DeOliveira Benedict and the entire DeOliveira family, her sister-in-law Kathy Hayes, and her closest friends Jeannie White and Robin Pratt.
