Anita M. (Pierce) Handfield, 90, a long-time Upton resident, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Beaumont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Leo J. Handfield, who died in 2000 after nearly 60 years of marriage.
Mrs. Handfield was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Harold and Marian (Bassett) Pierce. She had lived in Upton her entire life until moving to the Whitinsville Retirement Home four years ago.
She leaves four daughters, Janet M. Marshall of Ware, Jean A.
