Anita K. Bentley, 69, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 22, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Anita was born March 25, 1946, in Xenia, Ohio, to the late Charles and Dorothea (Bobbit) Kelble.

Surviving is her children, John (Jennifer) Bentley Jr. of Mishawaka, Leslie (Jefferie) Hardy of Elkhart and Rebecca (Bruce) Bailey of Bristol; four grandchildren, whom she adored, Noah, Sydney and Ian Hardy and Calvin Bailey; brothers Gerald Kelble of Jamestown, Ohio, and William “Bill” (Nancy) Kelble of Dayton, Ohio; and her sister, Elaine (Don) Steiner of Centerville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews survive, as well who will cherish her memory.

Anita was an amazing mother and grandmother. She graduated from John Carroll High School in Dayton, and worked for a time at Williamsburg on The Lake Apartments of Elkhart and Ridgewood Apartments. Anita was a devout Catholic and dedicated her life to the church. She worked for and was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elkhart and a current member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Bristol where she was active in many ministries. She loved her home in Bristol, with its closeness to nature. Anita was an avid animal lover, especially her cats and dogs and enjoyed the beauty of bird watching. She was a master gardener and a master naturalist. She loved her family, grandchildren and her many friends. She will be missed by many.
