ANITA JOYCE WEISS
Anita Joyce Weiss, age 60 of Crestview passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 after a hard battle for almost a year with 2 different types of cancer. She was born at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH on November 28, 1954, to Charles Robert and Maryann Jo Gearhart. Anita, known as Joyce to family and friends, lived in Alaska, Ohio, Indiana and in Ft. Lauderdale FL before moving to Crestview FL. Joyce graduated high school from Fairborn High School in Fairborn OH and from Troy State University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Joyce never met a stranger. She was a Christian and would gladly talk with anyone about her love for the Lord and brag about her abundance of tomato plants. She never took any crap from anyone and was straight forward with you, however she had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Although she worked various jobs during her life, including serving in the United States Air Force as an Administrative Assistant, she was known as being the best Granny in the world. She thought the world of her 3 beautiful grandchildren and would move mountains to make sure that they had the things they needed and spoiled them whenever she could. To her grandchildren she was known as the avid gamer and would love to play games like Mario and Rugrats Royal Ransom with her grandchildren and compete with them.
