Upland: Anita E. Tatman, 69, passed away July 30, 2015, in Waters Edge Village, Muncie. She was born in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Ivan and Norma (Fox) Brumley. In 1965, she graduated from Vincennes High School and then earned her degree in education from Indiana State University in 1969. Following graduation, she taught grade school at Lafayette, until she got married. She married Max Tatman, in Vincennes, on August 8, 1971.
He survives. Mrs. Tatman was employed with Eastbrook Community Schools for many years, before retiring from teaching Science at the Junior High School. She was a member of ISTA and Tri Kappa of Hartford City. She attended Upland Community Church and enjoyed gardening, being a seamstress, reupholstering furniture, and playing Bridge. In addition to her husband of nearly 44 years, Max; survivors include three sons, Dereck, San Diego, CA, Jason “Mo” (Becky), Indianapolis, and Ian, Avon; one sister, Bonnie (Rich) Tibbits, Dolores, CO; and five grandchildren, Noah, Ethan, Isabel, Omri, and Eaton.
