Angelo Pappas, 84, of Taunton, formerly of Quincy passed away at home under the care of his family on Thursday, February 21, 2019.  He was the  husband of Angeliki (Pappas) Pappas. Born in Plaka, Greece, a son of the late Stavros and Dimitra (Gizelis) Pappas, he was raised and educated in Northern Epirus, Greece  and came to the US at the age of 21.Angelo  was a resident of Quincy for many years prior to living in Taunton for the past 15 years. He was an owner and chef of Acropolis restaurant in Quincy which he operated for 20 years.

A devoted husband and father he enjoyed countless memories spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild.  A member of the Northern Epirus Society of Boston he was active in fighting for human rights of Greek citizens in Albania.

He enjoyed listening to epirotika music and telling those close to him the stories of  how they became who they are as a family.

In addition to his wife Angeliki, he is survived by his children, Stavros Pappas of Taunton, Dimitra Georgoulopoulos and her husband John of Norwood, Athena Dedes wife of the late vasilios dedes of Raynham and Irene Pappas Saxonis, dean Saxonis of Berkley; his siblings, Aastasia, late garifalia,  Angeliki, Stamato, and Vasiliki : his grandchildren, George Georgoulopoulos, Stavros Georgoulopoulos and Dimitri Georgoulopoulos, Andreanna Saxonis, Diana Dedes, Alexandra Dedes, Angeliki Pappas, Nikos Pappas and Eva Pappas; a great granddaughter, Danika as well as many nieces and nephews.
