Angeline M. Heavyrunner Jensen, 83, of Sun Prairie, peacefully passed over to join her spiritual family on Sunday morning, July 27, 2014. She passed at her home with her children in attendance. A Wake is scheduled for Thursday, July 31 at 7pm at Glacier Home Center in Browning with a Rosary on Sunday, August 3 at 7pm.

Angie was born on August 7, 1930 to Joe and Mary Heavyrunner. She was raised at their homestead on Cut Bank Creek and attended schools in Browning. Angie married Richard “Dick” Jensen in Cardston, Alberta and together they raised their 10 children. They lived in Cut Bank and Vaughn before settling in Sun Prairie.

After their youngest daughter started school, Angie began her new career. For close to 20 years she was not only a housekeeper, but a natural good will ambassador between the Columbus Hospital staff and the many families who were sent there from Browning for critical health care. She helped to explain procedures, soothed fears, gave food and took the time to listen and pray with each family. Her own health forced her to retire in 1995 but even that didn’t slow her much.

Angie is survived by her brother, Earnest Heavyrunner of Browning; sons, Ben (Mary) Heavyrunner and Roger Jensen of Great Falls; daughters, Connie Sue (Rand Coburn) Oakes of Olympia, WA, Iva (Jimmy Johnson) Jensen of Havre, Angel (Gabe) Brouard, Lisa Colden and Lynelle Littlefield of Great Falls; 23 grandchildren; 31 1/2 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Special recognition to her doctor, LaDonna Maxwell, for her care & concern, and to her many nieces, nephews and adoptees who considered her Mom, Auntie and Grandma. Angie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Richard; sons, Douglas, Richard and Ira; grandchildren, Amanda, Misty and Stephen.
