Mrs. Angela Ruth Griffin Lawrence departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home in Manassas, Virginia. Angela was born on November 3, 1957 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Ruth and Thomas Griffin. She was a graduate of Anniston High School and received an Associates Degree in Science from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration Management from Strayer University. Angela retired from the U.S. Army; as well as the Department of Defense. Predeceased by her parents; two brothers: George Griffin and Carlos Griffin She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Harold Lawrence of Manassas, VA; four sisters: Vicki Griffin, Terrye Ward (James Martin), all of Anniston, AL, Sharon (Lateef) Ahmed of Acworth, GA, Tonia Mann of Oxford, AL; one brother: George (Vonda) Clifton of Birmingham, AL; three sisters-in-law: Brenda Bunch, Kathleen Lawrence and Tonia Lawrence all of South Carolina; brother-in-law: Grady Lawrence of South Carolina; nephews: Michael Stone, Jarrell Ward, Christian Griffin and Ean Griffin; nieces: Kellie Griffin, Danielle Ward, Jessica Cox and Merissa Cox; and a host of great nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
