Angel Cervantes, 90, residing in Elkhart, and formerly of Saginaw, Mich., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 19, 2013, at Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
He was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Saginaw to the late Jose and Esther (Verduzco) Cervantes.
He married Rebecca R. Cardona on June 9, 1962, she passed away June 25, 2011.
In addition to his parents, his wife; his brothers, Salvador, David and Robert Cervantes; and his sister Belia Resendez, preceded him in death.
Surviving are sisters Gloria Gonzales of Elkhart and Devorah (Robert) Cavazos of Saginaw, and brothers Rodolfo Cervantes of Grand Rapids and Asa (Manuela) Cervantes of Goshen.
Angel retired from General Motors in Saginaw. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was a kind and gentle man.
