Andy Stephens died April 1. He left this planet a happy man – with a great 4-generation family, a new grandson and the love of family and a multitude of friends. He is survived by his sons, Casey Stephens of Dallas, TX, Beau Stephens of Houston, TX, Aaron Stephens and wife, Lindsay Sutton-Stephens and grandson, Sutton, all of Salida, CO. Andy is also survived by his sister, Jackie Stephens of Pampa, TX and brother, Cliff Stephens of Raleigh, NC. Andy’s Uncle, Terry Stephens of Oklahoma City, OK still supplies the family with great stories of our heritage. Andy also had a much-loved step-daughter, Aubrey Kollatschny and her husband Aubrey and their children Payton, Juliet, Bryce, and Emily. Andy was born August 26, 1954 in Pampa, Texas, the second child of Billy J and Tillie Stephens, both of whom are passed. He lived in Pampa, where he began a lifetime in Scouting through his personal attainment of Scouting’s highest earned award, Eagle. Upon graduation, he moved to Dallas, TX, where he graduated from Elkins Institute with a concentration in Drafting; after which he returned to Pampa to live and work, eventually joining ConocoPhillips, where he worked for the balance of his career. In Pampa, he met and married Linda West and raised three sons, Casey, Beau and Aaron. The family moved to Fritch, TX, where they remained. In Fritch, Andy continued his career with ConocoPhillips and also became a Soccer Coach for his kids and Scout Master for the BSA with Troop 548. With the troop, Andy oversaw the attainment of Eagle Scout by his sons as well as nearly twenty other young men.
