The family of Andy Jeremy Gipson wishes to announce his passing in the early morning hours of Monday (Aug. 2, 2010) at his Elkhart home. He was 44.
He was born July 25, 1966, in Saginaw, Mich., to Jacqueline Gipson, who survives in Saginaw, and James Reynolds, who survives in St. Paul, Minn.
Also left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sabrina L. (Evans) Gipson, who survives at home, and four children: sons Geriel Evans and Derek Smith, and daughters Deresha Smith and Noelle Gipson, all of Elkhart. Also surviving are four brothers, Anthony (Beverly) Gipson of Elkhart, Jimmie (Felicia) Truss of Saginaw, and Jamar and Kajoi Reynolds, both of St. Paul. A sister, Loni Ann Truss, survives as well in Saginaw. Andy also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Andy worked more than six years with the city of Elkhart’s Water Utilities, where he served as a pipe mechanic in water distribution. He was a member of Church Without Walls and had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Whether alone at his computer playing solitaire or cooking, BBQ-ing and playing dominoes with his friends, Andy will be best remembered for his warm smile and easy-going personality.
