“Andy” Andrew Dorby
August 30, 1935 – November 30, 2016

“Andy” Andrew Dorby, was called home, Nov. 30, 2016 surrounded by his family at McKay Dee Hospital.

Andy was born Aug. 30, 1935 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Andrew Dorby Sr. and Mady Hargons; later being reared by his aunt, Addline Jackson. Andy attended school in Illinois and later graduated from Ogden High School.

In 1961 Andy met the love of his life, Queen (Green) Dorby, to this union, they had three daughters, Annette (Anthony) Marks, Arnae Dorby, and Adrienne (Billy Graham) Dorby. He also raised two nieces, Sherri and Teresa. He had four grandchildren who were the joy of his life and a godson, Joey Sattiewhite.

Andy served in the United States Army. He was also a cook for the Union Pacific Railroad; he later worked as a warehouseman at Defense Depot Ogden from where he retired.

Andy loved to cook, fish, hunt, play dominoes, and go to Wendover.

He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and four brothers.
