Andrew (Cotter ) Joseph Simso, Jr. passed away on October 8, 2011 at the young age of 91. Mr. Simso was born on November 27, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minn. where he was a star basketball player and also lettered in diamond ball and football for the Boy’s Vocational High School. Mr. Simso was a WWII Coast Guard Veteran from 1941-45 having served on the USS Pride and stationed at the Greensledge Lighthouse off Rowayton, CT. He has been a resident of Rowayton and Norwalk since 1943 and was an avid bowler for Solhiem Builders at Rip Van Winkle Bowling Alley. He was one of the original founders of Brookside Boyscout Troop #61 in 1955 and was a guidance and inspiration to many boys. He was a member of St.
