Andrew J. Cathcart of Burlington Township, died Monday, September 3rd, at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly. He was 97 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 23, 1915, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Cathcart. Employed as a sales representative with Sears & Co., in St. David’s PA, he retired in 1985 after 30 years of service. A United States Army Veteran, he served his country honorably during World War II. A member of the Catholic War Veterans Assoc. he was also a member of the Shanahan Club. An avid artist he enjoyed painting and bird-watching. Husband of the late Doris Cathcart, who died in 1995,
he is survived by his children and their spouses: Marie (Robert) Durante, Michael (Elaine) Cathcart, Daniel (Cheryl) Cathcart, John (Donna) Cathcart, Eileen (Bret) Williams and James (Doreen) Cathcart. In addition,
he is survived by his brother, Peter Cathcart, his sister Margaret Everett as well as 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
