Andrew F. Kelly, Jr., age 94 of Seaside Park passed away on Sunday, April 22 at Community Medical Center. Andy was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Duquesne University until drafted. He served in the Air Force, after the war he completed his education at Seton Hall University, where he was a member of the 1946-47 basketball team that went 24 & 3. He worked for Ingersoll-Rand for over 38 years in both sales and warehouse management. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Kelly for 63 years. They met at the Jersey Shore and raised their three children in Westfield, NJ.
They retired to Seaside Park in 1988 where he served as a town councilman for many years. Andy enjoyed walking the boardwalk, having the family for the holidays and summers at the beach. He was predeceased by his father, Andrew F. Kelly, Sr., mother, Mary Kelly, brother, Larry and a sister, Mary.
He is survived by his brother, Daniel (Rosemary) of Westfield, sister, Regina Harned of Las Vegas, NV and sister-in-law, Roberta Zardecki. Also, his children James (LouAnn) of Seaside Park, Michael (Alison) of Milford, NJ and Kathleen (Jeffrey) of Watertown, CT, grandchildren, Brooke (Patrick), Melissa (Michael), Rachael (Joseph) and Paige as well as great-grandchildren, Dylan & Summer Smith, Keegan & Declan Berger and Clara Staub as well as many nieces and nephews.
