Andrew Dalimata was born in Whitefish, Montana on a typical, dreary morning of November 20th, 1981. He was the second of seven children and a third-generation Montanan who loved God, his family and his dogs. He grew up on the family ranch by West Glacier and enjoyed many a shenanigan with his older brother, Anthony, and a variety of cousins, like Robert and Matt. Andrew had his ups and downs in life, but found his true love – gold prospecting – in his last years. He was generous to a fault and always willing and able to help anyone in need. As a lifelong, avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish, even when he was eight years old and not allowed to do it alone, and thus would drag along his younger sisters. He died with his boots on, May 23rd, 2017, while prospecting with his good friend, Steven Coohl. Andrew made friends wherever he went, and they will all miss him. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Catherine Nibler; his uncles, Leland Vanderzanden, Larry Nibler, and Father Jim Nibler; and his aunt, Jeannie Williams. He is survived by his parents: Richard Dalimata and Mary (John) Dayton; his six brothers and sisters: Anthony (Amanda) Dalimata, Rebecca (Matthew) Springett, Rosemary (Chris) Plass, Judiann (James) Demasi, Suzette (Austin) Shields, Francis (Afton) Dalimata; his paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Dalimata. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and eight nieces and nephews.
