Andreas “Andy” D. Taylor, age 53, a resident of Albuquerque for over thirty years, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from a heart attack. He is survived by his son, Kiel Taylor of Albuquerque; mother, Heidi Christy and husband, Robert of El Paso, TX; sister, Martina Childress and husband, Charles of Maryland; brother, Tim Taylor of California; niece, Heidi Fay Childress; and numerous other relatives and friends who were like family. Andy was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Deissler; and his step-father, James Taylor. He was born in 1963 in Heilbronn, Germany and came to the United States in 1969 with his mother, sister, and step-father. Andy became a naturalized citizen in 1974 in Baltimore, MD and moved with his family to El Paso where he graduated from Eastwood High School, Class of 1981. He attended UTEP. With his work he traveled extensively throughout the southwest where he was the manager of Merry-Go-Round. Andy then went to work in Santa Fe at the Turquoise Trail and Windriver Trading Company in 1991. Afterwards, he became a real estate appraiser in Albuquerque and eventually established his own business, Taylor & Associates. It was through his work that he established so many friendships which exist to this day. Andy was active throughout the real estate community. He was a very outgoing, exuberant, and a big hearted person and never shied away from expressing his opinion. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
