Andrea C. Orrantia, 94, Deming resident passed away Saturday July 24, 2021 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. A Rosary will be recited Saturday August 28, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning at Holy Family Mission Church in Columbus led by her niece, Carmen Sanchez. Memorial Mass will follow at 10 o’clock with Fr. Jesus Martinez to officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.
Andrea was born November 20, 1926 to Dolores Armendariz and Jose Carreon in Puerto Palomas, Chihuahua, Mexico. She lived in Ruidoso for many years before moving to Phoenix in 1996. In 2018, they returned to Columbus making it their final home. She was a member of the Catholic Church and was very active with the community and all the church events. Her love for animals and cooking will be cherished forever. She will be greatly missed by all who came across her path.
