Leslie Andre Robinson, Sr., 59, of Jacksonville, IL died August 23, 2017, at his home.
He was born October 28, 1957 in Jacksonville, the son of Paul L. and Hazel Daniels Robinson. He married Alberta Morgan on September 27, 2014, in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by his father, Paul Robinson of Jacksonville; a son, Leslie Andre Robinson II of Springfield; three step sons, Wesley Mitchell (wife, Kelly) of Goodyear, AZ, John David Morgan of Quincy, and Michael Vincent Morgan (wife, Kathy) of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren, Ana Mitchell, Byrce Mitchell, Ayden Mitchell, and Jalen Morgan; an uncle, Frank Daniels of Henderson, NV; and a host of cousins and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Andre was a 1975 graduate of Jacksonville High School and was employed at Production Press and Mobil Chemical until his retirement in 2007 due to a disability. He was a proud member of the Sons of the Amvets Post #100. A devoted St. Louis Cardinal fan, Andre had an outgoing personality that allowed him to develop a large circle of friends.
