Andre Jean-Baptiste was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti to the late Frederic Jean-Baptiste and Brigite Barthelemy. Andre was 18 years old when he completed his school studies.  He left Haiti at the age of 48 to come to the United States where his Mom and Dad were already.  He started work as an employee at the Headquarters Plaza Hotel alongside his wife, My mom Carolle Beneche.  There, he worked for many years, earning awards for being a very good employee and rarely missed work.  In his free time outside of work, he loved to watch soccer matches on TV and other shows such as Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy.  He would discuss the sport with me at times and when we both were home, we would watch the games when they were live.  He was not a very loud person but when a goal was scored, you would always hear him yell “Goal!”  He watched over us when we came home from school and dropped us off at school at a young age until we were old enough to go to school alone.  He would always be home whenever possible to make sure we did our homework and chores.  He always made sure we were taken care of before our Mom came home.  He loved his wife, our Mom dearly.  Whatever was going on, he was there to support her.  He was a loving husband to my Mom and was always by her side no matter what.  There was never a moment where he wasn’t available.  He went to this church every Sunday along with his wife and my grandmother.  As he got older, he started to have more health issues that made walking difficult for him but he still was strong and came to church despite that.  On September 23rd, 2022, Andre was called home to be with the lord.

Sharing the memories of his wonderful life are:

His Sons: Stanley Gaspard, Ricardo Jean-Baptiste and Michel Jean-Baptiste
