Ancele Guinette (Gwen) Boggan Colquett, age 87, a 63-year resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at her home in Fort Walton Beach.
She was born September 12, 1928, in Butler County Alabama, and grew up in Andalusia, Alabama, prior to moving to Fort Walton Beach in 1953.
Gwen was a Christian, a loving, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a gifted baker, and had a love for boating with her family and friends. She and her famous Carrot Cake will be missed by all!
She is pre deceased by her husband of 56 years, Bernard Carlton Colquett. She is survived by her loving family; son Joel Edmond Colquett of Fort Walton Beach; daughter, Cynthia Joyce Colquett Addison and husband Robert S. Addison of Canton, Mississippi; grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Addison and wife Katie Turner Addison of Gainesville, Florida; Ashlea Addison Anderson of Germantown, Tennessee; Andrew Lucas Addison and wife Catherine Swift Addison of Columbus, Georgia, many loving nieces and nephews, and five great-grandchildren, Addison Grace Anderson, Samuel Banks Addison, Mary Andrew Addison, Charley Mills Addison, and Samuel Swift Addison.
The family will receive loved ones and friends on Friday, May 13, 2016, from 10 to 11 AM at McLaughlin Mortuary in Fort Walton Beach.
