ANA MARIA “ANITA” FORD, 75, longtime resident of Red Rock, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Lordsburg.
Anita was born on August 6, 1936 to Teodora Hernandez and Santiago Martinez in Casa de Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a communicant of the Catholic Church. She spent her time between Mexico and her family in Animas.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert ‘Gib’ Graham who died in 1965 Then married Alton Ford and were very happy for 36 years until his death in 2006. Her daughter Sylvia Graham died in 1996 . Anita is survived by a son, Elfigo Graham and his wife Lisa of Animas; a daughter, Alice Taylor of Casas Grandes, Mexico; two brothers, Everado and Trinidad Martinez of Casa de Janos, Mexico; three sisters, Elena and Elia Martinez of Casa de Janos, Mexico and Irene Martinez of Agua Prieta, Mexico; three step-children, Barry Ford and his wife Shari, Gary Ford and his wife Leslie and Dwane Ford; nine grandchildren, Elfigo Jr., Cassandra, Gilbert and Shawn Graham and his wife Juanita, Winston ‘Duke’ Ford, Henry Mendoza, Yanell, Ana Lou and Jackaline Taylor; great-grandchildren, Daydrian Graham, River Graham, Gabby Ford, Sylvia Ford, Marie Ford.
