Amparo O. Cabreza of New Milford was 86 when she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 15th. Born in Manila, Philippines, Amparo moved to the United States in 1968. She started working in Cedarhurst, New York as a Machine Operator. Amparo would later move to New York City where she would go on to become a Pattern Maker and Assistant Designer for many famous fashion houses such as; Donna Karan, French Connection, Don Klein and numerous others. After retiring she moved to New Milford to be with her family.
Amparo was the loving mother of Jesus Arizabal, Dante Arizabal, Anabella Paraz, Ofelia Balderama,Gill Cabreza, and Antonette Cabreza. She was also survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
