PEABODY, Americo Richard Paglierani, 96, of Brooksby Village, died on Jan. 30th at Lahey Hospital in Burlington surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Edna (Lodi) Paglierani. Born and raised in Cambridge, MA he was the youngest of five sons of Antonio and Rose (Bronzetti) Paglierani. A graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, he married and raised his family in Somerville, later moving to Randolph where he and his wife resided for 36 years prior to moving to Brooksby Village. Americo was a World War II Veteran and served in the United States Army Air Forces working as a military airplane mechanic. He was a former member of VFW Post 19 in Somerville and the Sons of Italy in Braintree and was employed as a computer systems analyst for many years with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain. Known as “Bebe” to his family and “Rick” to his friends, he was an avid sports fan and loved watching all of Boston’s professional sports teams as well as a enjoying a good game of blackjack with his friends at Brooksby. His infectious smile, charming personality and kindheartedness will be missed by all who knew him well. He is survived by three children, Steven Paglierani of Somerville, Peter Paglierani and his wife, Rhonda, of Stoneham, his daughter Gina Goudie and her husband Michael of Boxford, his granddaughter Erica Paglierani of Los Angeles, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
