Amelia “Amy” Warner Sheward, 81, Anderson, died October 9, 2009 at Community Hospital Anderson after an extended illness. She was born August 7, 1928 in Anderson, and was a liefelong resident.
Amy retired in 1990 from Indiana Bell Telephone, where she had been a service representative for 30 years. Survivors include her daughter, Terri S. McLain of Anderson; brother, Owen E. “Sonny” Hughes and wife, Dee Anna of Anderson; sister, Martha Caldwell of Anderson; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her loyal canine companions, Billy and Bitzie.
The family wishes to extend a special acknowledgement to Dr. Jetty and his staff for their care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Berman Warner & LuLu Shawcross Hughes; and her son, Douglas A. Sheward.
