Ambrose Klotz passed away peacefully at 8:05 a.m., January 05, 2016. Katherine, his loving wife of 66 years, was by his side. Youngest son of Dominic and Marie Klotz of Chicago, brother of Dolores “Go Go” Klotz, Mr. Klotz was just short of his 88th birthday.
Family and friends were blessed by “Amby’s” good nature and strength of character, and knew him always as a loving, patient, caring, and dedicated husband and father. His three children – Mary Theresa Klotz (Mel McClelland), Rob Klotz (Jennifer), and Judy Pilcher (Paul), remember him with fond memories of his corny jokes and repertoire of goofy songs, sung out loud in the car. “World’s Greatest Dad” and “Popcorn King” to his kids, and “Gramby” to his four grandsons (Luke, Dane, Trent, and Heath) and one granddaughter (Jill), he was a man who took care of his loved ones and always put their needs ahead of his own.
