Amanda Raquel Wiles, 31, Anderson, was shot and killed early Saturday morning, June 9, 2012, in her home. She was born December 13, 1980 in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina at 4:38 AM to Terri E. Wiles and Timothy L. Wiles, both of Anderson. She recently went to work for S & S Steel of Anderson and also worked for Joe Settlemire at Scampey’s. She previously had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Ley in Carmel and had been a realtor for Remax for about three years. She had worked for her mother at Woody’s Bar in Lapel for seven years. She was of Christian faith. Amanda loved life and people, and especially her dog, Princess Roxie.
She is survived by her mother, Terri; father, Tim; sister, Stacey Wiles of Honduras; her beloved family grandma Betty & grandpa Budd Dietrich; grandpa Larry wife Barb Wiles of Pendleton; aunt Christina & uncle Bobby Johnson of Haines City, Florida; uncle Terry D. Wiles of Florida; cousins, aunts, uncles and lots and lots of friends; including special friends, Elisha Smith, Brandy Mahaffey, Jesse Stone, Ryan Edwards and Ben Smith. She was preceded by her uncle Chris Lodge; great grandmother, Ellen Wiles; and grandmother, Ina Mae Wiles.
