Amanda “Mandi†Hamlett, 29, of 1285 White Oak Circle, Dry Fork, VA died as a result of an accident Tuesday, August 14, 2012. She was born September 29, 1982 in Danville to Larry and Kimberly Dickerson, who survive. She was married to Jason Hamlett, of the residence, who survives. Mrs. Hamlett was a graduate of George Washington High School and attended Virginia Western Community College, earning her dental hygienist degree. She worked in that field for Dr. Mark Smith’s office in Danville. Mrs. Hamlett was three months pregnant and was looking forward to motherhood, which we know she is enjoying in heaven with her precious little angel. She was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents of Danville, and her husband of Dry Fork, she is survived by her special pets Dixie, Princess and Bandit, as well as her sister, Kristy Hall and husband, Justin of Chesapeake, VA; her father and mother-in-law, Charles and Bonnie Hamlett of Keeling, VA; her sister-in-law, Martha Barker and husband, Bruce of Danville, her paternal grandparents, Larry and Ellen Dickerson of Danville, her maternal grandparents, Carlos and Frances McCoy of Blairs, VA, as well as numerous nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
