Amanda Mae Dossett, 39
Beloved companion, mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister, Amanda Mae Dossett, 39, of DeBorgia, Montana (formerly of the Silver Valley), passed away September 12, 2019 near Haugan, Montana. She was born August 5, 1980 in Kellogg, Idaho; Amanda was the daughter of James Dossett and Sandra Drier.
Amanda had lived in the Silver Valley for most of her life. She had attended schools in the Silver Valley and had also attended the Spokane Community College of Spokane, Washington.
Amanda had served as a cashier at the Exxon of Kingston, Idaho, the Town Pump of Superior, Montana, the Conoco Station of Pinehurst and the Hi-Co also of Pinehurst. Amanda was also a certified nurses aide at a long-term care facility of Superior, Montana.
Amanda loved and enjoyed her family, fishing, arts and crafts, swimming, rock collecting, being in the woods and camping, especially on the family property at Beaver Creek.
Amanda is survived by her significant other John Straw of DeBorgia, Montana; two children John Straw, Jr. and Melanie Straw both of DeBorgia; her mother Sandy (David) VanDitto of Medical Lake, Washington; her father Jim Dossett of Pinehurst, Idaho; one sister Kira (Kyle) Lasley of Medical Lake, Washington; her maternal grandmother Virginia Drier of Silverton, Idaho; two step-brothers Eli VanDitto of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and Gabe VanDitto also of Coeur d’ Alene. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Amanda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Ada and Elmer Dossett, her maternal grandfather Junior Drier and her step-grandparents Paul and Lois VanDitto.
