Amanda Jane Potter, 31, passed away unexpectedly March 2015 in Canon City, Colorado. She was born July 20, 1983 in Florence, Colorado to Arthur and Dian Autrey Hays and named Alexis May Hays. She was later adopted by Don and Ruth Potter in Canon City, CO. Amanda was a lover of animals, enjoyed collecting rocks and gems, and was a creator of jewelry. Her smile could brighten a room. Amanda was a talker! Amanda is survived by her parents, Don (Lynda) Potter of Bellevue, WA and Ruth Potter of Canon City, CO; brothers, Jeremy (Stephanie) Potter of Pueblo, CO and Joe (Laura) Potter of Edmond, OK; and nephews, Jayden and Xylon. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Art Hays and Dian Mercer. A Memorial Reception will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
