Amado R. Arambu, 95, former resident of Lordsburg passed away Friday February 5, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California.

Amado was born September 13, 1926 in Lordsburg to Benjamin and Flora (Reyes) Arambula.  He attended school in Lordsburg and during his working career he was a concrete finisher having worked mostly with Brown & Root Construction.  Amado served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.  He was an avid 49’er fan and enjoyed watching the old  western movies.  He has been a resident of Bell, California for the last 6 years having moved there to be near his daughter and family.

He is survived by his daughter, Flora Martinez of Bell, CA; brothers Raul Arambula (Odelia) of Woodland, CA, Rudy Arambula (Berna) of Lordsburg and sister Alice Ramirez (Angel) of Lordsburg; 3 grandchildren, Paula Martinez, Jose Martinez Jr., and Leslie Garcia; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his wife Elvira, parents, and 6 siblings.
