Alvira Corandan (nee Maugeri) of Burlington City died Friday December 20, 2013 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center, Mt. Holly at the age of 90. Mrs. Corandan was born in Burlington and remained a lifelong resident.

She had worked as an aide at the MCFarland Nursing Home on Jacksonville Rd. in Burlington prior to her retirement. Alvira enjoyed cooking, walking and doing puzzles. She was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Wife of the late Charles A. Corandan, Sr., she was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons and daughters in law; Charles A. Jr., and Rose Corandan and Stephen and Donna Corandan, Sr., her grandchildren; Erik (Jessica) Smith, Stephen Corandan, Jr., Mark (Sarah) Corandan, Rana Corandan and Shana Corandan, her great grandchildren; Blake, Chase and Jayda.

She is also survived by a brother and sister in law Valentino and Joyce Maugeri.
