Alvin Richard Loveland, 83, of Haddam, husband of the late Jean (Grody) Loveland, passed away on Friday, June 25th at Aaron Manor in Chester. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Harold and Alice (Banta) Loveland. Alvin lived in Durham the majority of his life and owned and operated M & L Products in Killingworth. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion, Durham Post #184 and the BPOE of Westbrook #1784. He is survived by two sons, William Loveland and Charles Loveland, both of Durham; three daughters, Cheryl Carlson of Durham, Gerri Chruney of Queensburg, NY and Joan Jasperson of West Charleston, WV; a sister, Jeannette Fudge of Durham; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, Alvin was predeceased by his son, Richard Loveland and his stepsons, Thomas Brown and Arthur Brown.
