Alvin “Al” H. Marquardt Jr.

Al passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Traverse City at the age of 77 years. Al was born on August 1, 1940 to the late Alvin Sr. and Gloria (Robinson) Marquardt. He married the former Kathleen Sielinski at St Hedwig Church on October 26, 1963. He was formerly a member of St. Hedwig Church and a current member of Corpus Christi Parish. Al retired in 1995 after 30 years of work at Mechanics Uniform Rental. He was also involved with the Polish Circle. In his free time he enjoyed blooper ball, playing cards, trips to the casino and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Surviving is his wife, Kathy; children, Diane (Joel) Watz, Kim (Dave) Walter, Becky (Bob) Carmona and Debbie (Kyle) Ferguson; nine grandchildren, Joshua Walter, Bethany (Andy) Hocker, Elise, Olivia and Sophia Carmona, Tegan and Morgan Ferguson, Elizabeth and Brandon Watz; sister, Norma Kimbrue; brothers-in-law, Chet (Maureen) and Bill (Cheryl) Sielinski; sister-in-law, Sue (Steve) Tarkowski; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Adams and Delphine Marquardt; father and mother-in-law, John and Dorothy Sielinski.
