Alverta Musall Wages, age 81, of Hungry Hollow Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born September 2, 1935, in Wanatah, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nellie Spradlin Musall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William ‘Bill’ Wages, on August 10, 2015; one son, Wade L. Wages, Sr., on October 19, 2016; one great-great granddaughter, Alainna Wages Patrick; three brothers, Marion, Robert, and Homer Musall; and three sisters, Mary Kessler, Iona Fine, and Helen Lowery.

Mrs. Wages is survived by four sons, William Allen Wages and wife Belinda, Wayne Wages, Wesley Wages, and Willard Wages and wife Stacy, all of Morehead; two daughters, Wilma Markwell and husband Anthony and Dianna Wages, all of Morehead; nine grandchildren, Billy Allen Wages, Wade Lee Wages, Sarah Walton, Melissa Ann Enterkin and husband Billy, Chase Wages, Shane Wages, Teresa Tackett, Mark Wages, and Morgan Wages; several great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Jeri Wages of Morehead.

Alverta was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed the many activities of the Rebekah Lodge and her homemakers club. She also dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
