Alva C. Prow was born on April 11, 1921 in Meridian Idaho, to Ray and Verna Prow.

Alva spent his childhood growing up in Idaho City, where he attended school and help the family deliver milk.

On April 25, 1941 he married the love of his life Patricia Lasswell, and together they had five children: Sharron, Linda, Helen, Steve and Joan.

Alva served in the Army during WWII from January 1944- December 1945 when he was injured in combat and returned home.

He worked most of his life as a farmer/machinist working and raising his family in the Boise, Meridian area.  He was a member of the Broken Spur Riding Club and the mountain Search and rescue Team.

After retirement he and Pat would jump in their motor home and travel the country. Pat liked to collect rocks from the many places they went, but Alva would tell her she couldn’t take them home because they were all “leaverite” rocks.  “Leave’er right where you found it”.

Alva was preceded on death by his parents, brother Myron, wife Patricia, daughter Linda, and two great grandchildren, Joe and Katie.  He is survived by a sister Lauraine, Son Steve, and daughters Sharron, Helen and Joan; 14 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the people at the Beehive Care Center, and First Choice Hospice for taking such good care of Dad.
