Newark – Altea Mae Simizon, 85 died Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Simizon was born the daughter of Kenneth and Edith Lester Smith on February 12, 1916 in Sodus, New York. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and gardening. Mrs. Simizon was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons John (Karen) and Albert (Marlene) Simizon both of Newark; daughter Elaine (Donald) DeFisher of Newark; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; brother Lloyd Smith of Port Gibson; sisters Majel Davenport of Newark and Neva Henderson of CA.; many nieces and nephews.
