Alma Marie Knepper, age 85, of Bowman, South Carolina, formerly of Salem, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Alma moved to South Carolina in 2010 to reside with her daughter. She was born June 24, 1926 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late William E. and Sara I. (Taylor) Alton. Alma had worked as a surgical nurse at the Salem Community Hospital. Her husband, Robert Paul Knepper, whom she married October 25, 1946, preceded her in death July 16, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie (David) Kekel of Bowman, SC.; 2 sons, William (Madelyn) Knepper of Salem and Michael “Mickey” (Dorothy) Knepper of Salem; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a niece Linda Quesenberry of Woodbridge, VA.
