Alma I. Howerton Gourley, 86, Anderson, passed away September 5, 2009 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born August 3, 1923 in Danville, Virginia, and resided in Anderson for the last 28 years. Alma was a photographer for Olan Mills and several other firms. She is survived by her children, Jeannette Dan Freestone, Jennifer Niccum, Joan Bill Studebaker and Robert Dianne Gourley; sisters, Mary Conner and Lucy Cole; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie McIntyre.
