Allen Taylor (Tip) Stark, 67, of Rose Bud, Ark., died Oct. 23 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs.

A resident of Rose Bud nearly his entire life, Tip was born April 12, 1951, to Clifford and Mary McAfee Stark. He was married to Gloria Smith on March 17, 1972.

He graduated as Valedictorian from Rose Bud High School in 1969 and attended the University of Arkansas, Arkansas State University-Beebe and the University of Central Arkansas. After serving in the U.S. Army, Tip had a multi-faceted career that included working as a dairy farmer, truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Rose Bud First Baptist Church.

Tip is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gloria of Rose Bud; four children, April Fulton of Minneapolis, Minn.; Adam Stark of Rose Bud; Robin (Aaron) McBroom of Monahans, Tex., and Lindsey (Matthew) Franks of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Seth Fulton, Elizabeth Fulton, Cloie Stark and Mattie Stark; his mother, Mary Stark of Searcy; a brother, Tony (Sandra) Stark of Judsonia; a sister, Linda (Tom) Strode of Fredericksburg, Va.; and a number of cousins and life-long friends.
