Allen T. Jewell, 75, Anderson, passed away October 17, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born February 26, 1933 in Salt Lick, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson for over 43 years. He owned and operated Jewell’s 66 Service Stations.
Allen was a member of the Redman’s Lodge.
He is survived by his wife whom he married July 4, 1953, Jean Maze Jewell; daughters, Cathy Rick Cole of Anderson, Lisa Tony Price of Anderson and Tammy Nivens of Anderson; son, Larry Fiancee, Alicia Wable Jewell of Anderson; mother, Rushie Conn Jewell of Salt Lick, Kentucky; brothers, Bill Loretta Jewell of Owingsville, Kentucky, Bobby Ella Frances Jewell of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Rodney Judy Jewell of Salt Lick, Kentucky and Doug Jewell of Salt Lick, Kentucky; sisters, Carolyn Danny Fulton of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Glenda Clyde Landsdale of San Antonio, Texas, Jane Schwartz of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Judy Burchett of Salt Lick, Kentucky and Connie Sue Kurt Smith of Winchester, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Brandi Cole, Casey Cole, Nathan Maggie Price, Scott Price and Noah Nivens; one great grandchild due in January.
Also surviving are sister-in-law, Margaret Steger; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Jewell; brother, Wendell Jewell; son, Eddie Jewell and son-in-law, David Nivens.
