Allen W. Toelke, 65 of Dakota died Monday, July 9, 2012 at his home in Dakota. Born September 17, 1946 in Freeport he was the son of Raymond and Arlene (Niedermeier) Toelke. He was a graduate of Dakota High School, and served in U.S. Army.
Allen farmed in the Dakota area most of his life and ran his own tractor mechanic shop. He also was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club and was a former Dakota Volunteer Firefighter. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, golfing, spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. On April 5, 1969 he and Vonnie Weagley were united in marriage at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna.
Surviving are his mother Arlene of Freeport, Wife Vonnie of Dakota, two children Steve (Becky) Toelke of Waterford, MI, and Kathy (Jeff) Sulik of Macomb, MI. Four grandchildren Brady Raymond, Brennen Allen Toelke of Waterford, MI, Owen John and Alissa Kay Sulik of Macomb, MI.
